This week, i am gonna be doing another relatively modern dance DJ who did a recent hit with a real old skool rapper/producer(Tiesto vs Diplo and Busta Rhymes). this is a slightly experimental format, because I am going to be doing 2 artists at once, so forgive me if it feels like it lacks a little flow.

Tiësto OON (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈcɛstoː]; born Tijs Michiel Verwest [ˈtɛi̯s miˈxil vərˈʋɛst] on January 17, 1969) is a Dutch musician, DJ and record producer of electronic dance music. In 1997, he founded the label Black Hole Recordings with Arny Bink, where he released the Magik and In Search of Sunrise CD series. In 1999 and 2000 he collaborated with Ferry Corsten to create Gouryella. His 2000 remix of Delerium's "Silence" featuring Sarah McLachlan exposed him to more mainstream audiences. In 2001 he released his first solo album In My Memory which gave him several major hits that launched his career. He was named "World’s No.1 DJ" 3 consecutive times by DJ Magazine from 2002 through 2004. Tiesto has a reputation of being the worlds best DJ, and with an impressive biography like his(i could copy+ paste an approximate 4000 word essay just on his career), it should come as no surprise that I would eventually put up one of his songs

Onto Busta Rhymes now
Trevor Tahiem Smith, Jr., also known as Busta Rhymes (born May 20, 1972), is an American rapper, songwriter, producer and actor. Chuck D of Public Enemy gave him the alias Busta Rhymes after NFL wide receiver George "Buster" Rhymes.

Busta's musical career began at the age of 16 as a member of the hip hop crew Leaders of the New School along with fellow Long Island natives Charlie Brown, Dinco D, and Cut Monitor Milo. He went to Uniondale High School class of '92. LoNS began recording in 1989 and released their debut album A Future Without a Past in 1991 on Elektra Records. In early 1992 the group appeared on A Tribe Called Quest's posse cut "Scenario," in which Busta's climactic verse propelled him into the cultural consciousness. In 1993, they released T.I.M.E. (The Inner Mind's Eye). Soon after, however, internal problems arose because of Busta's increasing popularity, and the group broke up on the set of Yo! MTV Raps. They did however break up over "stupid shit" multiple times earlier in their career, like Busta not driving the LONS members to a music festival because he wanted "to get dome" from a girl.

Busta broke out with a 1996 solo hit single, "Woo Hah!! Got You All in Check" from his platinum record album The Coming. His second album, When Disaster Strikes, released in 1997, produced the hit singles "Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Could See".

and onto the third artist who built this song: Diplo

Thomas Wesley Pentz (born November 10, 1978 (age 32), better known by his stage name Diplo, is a Philadelphia-based American DJ, producer, and songwriter. Together with DJ Low Budget, he runs Hollertronix, a club and music collective. He also founded and manages record company Mad Decent, as well as the not for profit organization Heaps Decent. Among other jobs, Pentz has worked as a school teacher in Philadelphia.
During his rise to notability, Diplo worked with British musician M.I.A., an artist who is credited with helping expose him in his early career. Later, Pentz and fellow M.I.A. producer Switch created a Jamaican dancehall project titled Major Lazer. Since then, Diplo has worked on production and mixtape projects with many other notable pop artists. Pentz's alias, short for Diplodocus, derives from his childhood fascination with dinosaurs.

Onto the song itself,

I find this- like many rap collaboration songs- to be extremely well produced and presented, while proving to the world and the industry that there is no need whatsoever for the abuse of auto- tune. Busta Rhymes once again shows how well he can lick off the fast raps, and the video itself is quite good- with Busta, Tiesto, and Diplo each taking a turn at the dance battle. While I understand this song is not of a genre that most of you will enjoy, take the 3 minutes or so to listen to it, and appreciate the effort that went into this song and the choreography put into the dance battles. it really is nice to see.
