ok, anyone who thinks they know me knows i think the sun shines out of each member of this band's arse- which is why i am hesitant to post these guys on tunesdays.
You know who they are. they started their commercial stint in 2000 with the release of Hybrid Theory.
Prior to Hybrid theory however, they didnt have Chester Bennington, and Bennington was a replacement to Mark Wakefield, were called Xero, and were essentially a bummed out garage band who couldn't get a record deal. Their original EP is now a collectors item, well worth the thousands asked for it. a shame that i can not spare the money for this glass- cabinet product.
their initial song was called "Papercut", however international success didnt hit until their next single, "One Step Closer".
As time goes on, Linkin Park try out more dynamic tastes, however i will always hold their LPU albums and Hybrid theory closest to my heart: since those capture the essence of Linkin Park that i fell in love with.
One other bit of Trivia: Back when they did their minutes to midnight world Tour, Chester Bennington broke his wrist doing a stage jump. Instead of calling it a night, 15 minutes, ice and bandages later, Chester came back out and continued form the last song. Chester remembers hearing some guy in the mosh pit yelling "Now THATS FUCKING ROCK N ROLL". Unsurprisingly, the Brisbane gig was the only place they decided not to do a return to- despite the fact that the show was sold out 45 minutes after ticket sales officially opened. Next tour, i am using my LPU pass to get a reserved ticket, and backstage access after the show

| LP are legends. Simple as that. I've got all their studio albums except for Re-animation, which, i think, sucked. |

I admit that I loved them when Hybrid Theory came out, and I was like 15 years old. But then I started growing up and little baby whiner lyrics just didn't do it for me anymore.
I mean seriously, the self pitying schtick is just sickening. Anyone who is over the age of 18 that still listens to this drivel seriously needs to grow the fuck up. |

they are not the same group that they were back when they released Hybrid Theory.
they are far more dynamic, less punk, and more alternative.
However i still get my kicks for being a member of LPU.
Not only am i privy to news and updates on the band, i can actually chat with the band in the group chat sessions, i get to preview new songs and clips, as well- each year, they make an exclusive album for LPU members, and send along other trinkets such as fan shirts, guitar picks, earphone clips, keyrings, pre sales concert tickets opportunities, and backstage access to meet the group after the show.
Last time they came to Australia, i didnt update my membership(was having a tough time getting money), the next time they come, i will not let the opportunity escape me.
here is an example of one of their earlier LPU songs:
Just 3 days ago, Linkin Park unleashed a whole bunch of goodies too.
Their Latest LPU album, LPU9, contains 8 previously unreleased demos, most of which contain the background music for commercially released work. As usual, this LPU9 is now flooding my home stereo.
here is a video clip of their 2009 circuit of Japan
