I am glad those independent guys have finally got the funding to set that cable up. It almost looked as if they werent gonna get it.

while what you are saying holds some merit, you got to look at the comparative sizes of these fibre node cables. the 5.3TB/s(terabyte, not terabit) cable is extremely thick and heavy, will be encased in a hard, protective shielding, to prevent "accidental" breakage.
put that into the pacific ocean, and the saying "its like finding a needle in a haystack" seem like an under estimation |
